Leona Mildred Kirby, age 86, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Saturday, March 17, 2012, in Mountain Home. She was born May 21, 1925, in Galesburg, Illinois to William S. and Mayme (Arie) Swanson.

Mrs. Kirby married Raymond Kirby October 2, 1955, in Knoxville, Illinois. She was a co-owner of Kirby Post and Feed Company and Admiral Electronics in Galesburg, Illinois. She was a Charter member of the Eagles, Order of the Easter Star of Mountain Home #202, Mountain Home Arts & Crafts Association, a volunteer for the Chamber of Commerce and co-founder of the Arts & Crafts shows. She was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kirby is survived by three sons: Gary Edwards of Mountain Home, Randy D. Edwards and wife Linda of Orem, Utah and Jeff C. Kirby and wife Nancy of South Lake, Texas, a daughter: Sandra Anderson and husband J.R. of Mountain Home, a step-daughter: Deanna Lowder and husband Ray of Walla Walla, Washington, a daughter-in-law: Judy Kirby of Matteson, Illinois, twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons: Terry Ray Edwards and Dennis Kirby, a brother: Virgil Swanson and a sister: Lois Hardy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 in the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Michael Shy officiating. A visitation will be from Noon-9:00 P.M. Monday, March 19, 2012 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8:00 P.M. Interment will be in Baxter Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to the Mountain Home Christian Clinic, Convoy of Hope or East Side Baptist Church Building Fund.
