Benjamin Aladan Fannett was born July 24, 1899 in Big Sandy, Upshur County, Texas to Benjamin Lewis Fannett and Emily Simmons. He was the fourth child out of six. He married Laura Omega Greer in Brazos County, Texas in about 1926 and together they had at least eight children, Barbara, Benjamin, Margaret, Vera, Sara, Andrew, Billie Jo, and Phillis Elaine. Benjamin died June 21, 1961 in Houston, Harris County, Texas although he actually lived in Millican, Brazos County, Texas.
