MADISONVILLE, Ky. -- Marian E. Deardorff, 85, of Madisonville, formerly of Hopkinsville, Ky., died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2001, at NHC Nursing Home in Madisonville.

She was born in Stoddard County in Missouri on June 16, 1916, to the late Henry and Icie Nora Touchstone Baker. She was the former owner of the C & D Bakery, was retired from the Hopkinsville Clothing Co., was a member of the Lioness Club, and attended Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Floyd Deardorff, in 1984.

She is survived by two daughters, Anita Lee of Madisonville, and Linda Charlson of Manford, Okla.; three sisters, Marguerite Laudzers of Jefferson City, Mo., Anna Marie Martin of St. Charles, Mo., and Melba Snider of Lavonia, Mich; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home in Hopkinsville with the Revs. Billy Russell and Daniel Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or the Heart Fund.
