LIBERTY — Newell C. Hayes, 77, of Middleburg, died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Born Nov. 21, 1933, in Creston to the late Mack and Mabel Moxley Hayes, he was a store room clerk and member of Middleburg Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Diana Ipock, Lola McKinney and Valerie Burkett; two sons, Richard Hayes and Ben Hayes; 23 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Onva Hayes and Carper Hayes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Emogene Foley Hayes. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
