Louise Ferder, 83, of Twin Lakes, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at her home.
She was born January 22, 1926 in Clymer, Pennsylvania to Murry J. and Ruby E. (Putt) Kirkland. She had worked at Kent Mold & Manufacturing during its early years. She was a member of St. Patrick Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews, P.J. Ferder, Paulette Thurman, Carol Rice, Joyce Reigel, Margie Wilson, James Kirkland, Margaret Rotondo, Michael Kirkland, Jane Rose, Harry Kirkland, Jerry Kirkland, Rose Ellen Donavan, and Robert Kirkland Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Donna Kirkland and Sue Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike; siblings, Donald, Robert, and Marilyn Shellhorn; and niece, Connie Ferder.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 7th at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 8th at St. Patrick Church, with Father Richard Pentello officiating. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent.
