Mary Eva Wright m. Neil Decker November 11, 1925. Six biological children. One died in infancy. Adopted two grandchildren. Hard working, high spirited, long suffering coal miners wife. Very family oriented, loved and protected her children. Loved the Lord with all her heart, some say she had the gift of healing. Whenever someone was sick she was called to their bedside. Was an unofficial midwife in her earlier years. Talented seamstress made clothes for her family and others on a treadle sewing machine. People came for miles to see her flower gardens in the summer. Very good working with her hands, could make clothes without a pattern, embroidered and crocheted. Loved to garden and can vegetables in the fall. Her children and grandchildren to this day miss her desperately though she went to the Lord in 1978.
