Helen Smeiles, 91, of Kent, died Sunday, February 26, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 26, 1920 in Kenmore, to Walter and Margery (Norton) Haley. Helen was an avid bowler having won many trophies and awards. She is survived by son, R. Brian Smeiles of Morgan, TX; daughters, Celestia Wright of University Heights, Stephanie Smeiles-Xenias of Kent and Lauren Hogue of Southington; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister, Jane Osman of Stow. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roman D. Smeiles; brothers, Walter and Paul Haley; and sister, Margaret Miranda. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, March 1st at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home in Kent, where calling hours will be held 1-2 PM Thursday, March 1st.
