Montgomery, Elsie Mae, age 90, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 in Oakland, California. Born in Monroe, Georgia and grew up in Dayton. She was employed many years as a beautician, later, beginning a career as a Sales Associate and Office Manager at Frances Realty for several years. Elsie was a life-long member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, an active member until her illness. Preceded in death by her parents, Henry Tuggle & Annie Mae Jackson husband, John L. Montgomery brothers, John Sr. (Allie Lou) Allen & Henry F. Tuggle sister, Geneva (Arthur) Brown son-in-law, Frederick J. Richardson, Jr. To forever cherish her memories, she leaves her daughter, Georgia W. Richardson grandchildren, Rhyon (Richard) Sherer, Rachel (Damon) Estell & Regan (Claudia) Richardson nieces, Mabel Waters (Sam), Joyce Crawl, Shirley Stiles (Todd), Denise Allen-Powell (Toney) nephew, John Allen, Jr. (America) special nephew and friend, Eugene Reynolds devoted great niece, Debra Graves (Ernest) 6 great grandchildren a host of great nieces & nephews, cousins and other relatives. Homegoing celebration will be held 11 am Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 380 S. Broadway. Rev. Ernest E. Graves officiating. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
