Nora Galbraith

Nora E. Galbraith, 94, of Stronghurst, Ill., died at 10:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26, 1988, in the La Harpe Extended Care Facility.

Born Nov. 27, 1893, in Henderson County, Illinois, she was the daughter of William and Lutitia Booton. She married John Hicks. He died in 1943. On Jan. 16, 1954, in Burlington, she married Cecil Galbraith. He died March 9, 1984.

She attended Henderson County schools and lived in Olena and Stronghurst community most of her life. She was a member of the Community Senior Citizens and the Stronghurst Methodist Church.

Survivng are two step-daughters, Maida Navratil, Rock Island, Ill., and Pearl Simpson, Downers Grove, Ill.; four grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Burial will be in the Olena Cemetery.
