Douglas E. Amidon of 4384 South Onondaga Road, died June 11 at his residence of an apparent self-inflicted gun shot wound. He was 17 years of age. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Jean Amidon of Nedrow; his father, Earl H. Amidon of Syracuse; four brothers, Gordon and William of North Syracuse, and Shawn and Donald of Nedrow; two sisters, Lea and Kris of Nedrow; two half sisiters, Leigh and Carrie of Syracuse; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Amidon of Syracuse; and Mr. & Mrs. William Henderson of Marietta.
Funeral services were held June 14 at the Ryan Funeral Home in Marcellus, with the Rev. Robert O. Overmier and the Rev. Jerald J. Buckley officiating. Burial was in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Navarino.
