Services for Mrs. Henrietta Stayer Rymer, 62, of Rt. 1 Alexander, who died Sunday in an Asheville hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Macedonia Baptist Church, of which she was a member.
The Revs. Edgar Yarborough, E.J. Hall and Frank Hopkins will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Gary and Ronnie Stayer, Bobby Williams, Rex Hayes, Eddie Gillen and Raymond Sluder.
Mrs. Rymer was a native of Tennessee and a resident of Buncombe County for the past 24 years. She was a member of the Homemakers Bible Class, the BTU and WMU of her church and formerly taught the Primary Sunday School Class. She also served as the teacher of the Homemakers Class.
Surviving are the husband, Alvin Rymer; a daughter, Mrs. Leneice White of Rt. 1 Alexander; a son, Keith Alvin Rymer of the home; two step-sons, Russell D. Rymer and Max A. Rymer, both of West Asheville; three sisters, Mrs. Sue Williams and Mrs. Pauline Farmer, both of Telford, Tenn., and Mrs. Juanita Bales of Iowa; a brother, Louis Styer(sp) of Telford; a grandson, five stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home, where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to services. (Obit provided by Cindy Womble Billman)
