Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.
Ms. Hathaway passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Marilyn was born on April 8, 1954 in Childress, Texas to Alvin and Patricia (Baxter) Hathaway. The family then moved to Lawton where she grew up and attended school, graduating from Lawton High School in 1972. After high school she married and moved to New York where she lived for several years. She returned to Lawton in 1980. She was homemaker. She loved to Crochet and work crossword puzzles. She liked to sing and was always singing. She enjoyed attending church and studying the bible. She loved her dog, Gordo and he brought her a lot of happiness.
She is survived by two daughters and sons in law, Kristi and Brookes Austin, of Erick, Oklahoma and Kimberly and Irving Martinez, of Bethany, Oklahoma; two sisters, Brenda Hathaway, of Fletcher, Oklahoma and Cynthia Davis, of Elgin, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Kendra Martinez, Isaac Martinez, and Adam Martinez, and one on the way, Curtis Kade Austin; her aunt, Dana Baxter; of Lawton; her niece, Miranda Hathaway, of Oklahoma City; a great niece, Temperance Hathaway; several cousins and a host of loving friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; (Alvin and Patricia (Baxter) Hathaway), and her brother, James Hathaway, and a sister Mary Frances Hathaway.
