James Hardy Windham, 73, passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2012. Graveside services will be at the North Belton Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, with Minister Joe Baisden conducting the final rites.
Hardy was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to the late Hardy Orban and Mildred Ruth Windham. He graduated from Muskogee High School and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma. After becoming a CPA, he joined the accounting firm of Ernst and Young in Houston, and then spent many years as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Houston Corporation, a private investment firm. Hardy was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Doss (McGuyer) Windham, of Temple; daughter, Anne McLeod and her husband, Scott, of Houston; son, Reagan Windham, of Houston; daughter-in-law, Sharon Windham, of Houston; sister, Carol Windham Smith and her husband Riley, of Poteau, Oklahoma; and several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
