Mary Ella Preston of Perryville the wife of the late Ernest R. Preston, died Jan 20 at the Harford Memorial Hospital. She was 76. Mrs Preston was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eliza Cooper Johnson. She was a member of the Perryville United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Perryville Fire Company, and a member of the U.M.C.W. of Perryville.
She is survived by one daughter, Eliane P. Whitemill, Perryville; one son Roland E. Preston, Perryville; two brothers Charles Johnson, Norristown, Pa; and Earl Johnson, Chester, Pa; and by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchldren. Services were held Jan 23 at the Patterson and Son Funeral Home.
