Ernest R. Preston 71, Husband of Mrs Mary E. Prestonof Perryville, died on Saturday March 9, at his home in Perryville. a life resident of Cecil County, he was the son of the late Howard E. and Georgia Woodrow Preston; was a retired railroad engineer with the former Pennsylvania Railroad and a member of the Perryville Methodist Church. Survivinare one son, Roland E. Preston; and one daughter Mrs Elain P. Whitmill, both of Perryville; one brother Ralph E. Preston of Baltimore, Md; one sister, Mrs Margaret Atkinson of Perryville, ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 13 from the Patterson Funeral Home in Perryville, with Rev Hubert Jicha Jr, assisted by Rev Harry N. Bailey, pastor of the Perryville Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in St. Mark's Cemetery in Perryville.
