James Donald "Don" Paris, 71, of 200 Old Rutherford Road, died Oct. 15, 2003, at his home.
A native of Greenville County, the son of the late James Fincher and Alice Pruitt Paris. He was a retired employee of Exide Battery and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Barbare Paris, of the home; three sons, Keith Paris, of Campobello, Tim Paris, of Lyman, and James Paris, of Taylors; a daughter, Lynn Long, of Greenville; a stepdaughter, Linda Andrews, of Taylors; four sisters, Christine Cox, Faye Hardy, Annette Ford and Glennis McClain, all of Greer; ten grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary, conducted by the Rev. Jake Cox. Burial will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Hardy, Scott Hardy, Mike Cox, Greg Ford, Jamie Ford and Roger Golightly.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary.
The family is at the home.
