Mrs. Kirby was born Feb. 29, 1904, in Centreville to William S. and Kate Anderson Bagley. She taught school for several years and was a store clerk and owner. She was a member of Thomson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, O.L. Kirby; two sisters and one brother.
Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Kirby White of Centreville; one son, Robert L. "Bob" Kirby of Churchville, Md.; five grandchildren, Michael Kirby of Baltimore, Lauren W. Barnett of Jefferson, Ga., Lisa W. Payne of Stephens City, Va., Melissa K. Lehman of Bel Air, Md., and Amy S. White of Cayce, S.C.; and six great-grandchildren.
