Marion Holbrook Jordan Merriam was born on August 14, 1915 in St. Johnsbury, VT to Ernest Holbrook and Zelia Boxwell Holbrook. She is survived by son, David (Nancy) Jordan, daughter, Joyce Jordan Strickland (David) Springer, grandchildren: Daron & Justin Jordan, Derek & Shanon Strickland, and Stacey Springer and 9 great grandchildren. Marion worked for the Department of Agriculture in Nashville, Tennessee, office until her retirement. Marion moved to Fort Myers after the passing of her husband, Bernard Jordan. Marion was a member of Share Club and Women's Fellowship. Marion, also, spent many years as a Pink Lady for the Lee Memorial Hospital Group.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Thomas A. Edison Congregational Church, 1619 Llewellyn Drive Fort Myers, FL 33901. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas A. Edison Congregational Church, or a charity of your choice.
