William R. Privett, Jr., 84, of Indianapolis, passed away March 13, 2012 in Greenwood, Indiana.
He was born October 23, 1927 in Bicknell, Indiana to William Riley Privett, Sr. and Ruby Violet (Vale) Privett.
Junior was married to Georgia Lois (Rogers) Privett on January 22, 1945. She preceded him in death on April 5, 2011. A brother, Donald E. (Dutch) Privett, preceded him in death.
Bill was a mechanic with Anderson Trucking and OK Trucking and a member of the Teamsters Union. Survivors include his daughter, Carol (Larry) Joiner Lewisville, Texas; son, Christopher (Sarah) of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Kiana Neawedde of Indianapolis, Desiree Garrigus and Joshua (Ashleigh) Garrigus of Texas; great grandchildren, Taia and Isaiah of Indianapolis, Shae and Myah of Dallas, Texas; brother, Harold (Alicia) Privett of Greenwood; sisters, Doris (David) Korb of Solsberry, Wanda Evans and Naomi (Joe) Jamison of Bicknell; sisters-in-law, Barbara Privett of Bicknell and Mary Wittig of Michigan.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 16 at G. H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, with calling there from 11 a.m. until service time.
