MANTACHIE - Lillian Ethel Jackson Dobbs, 71, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at her home after an extended illness. She was born October 27, 1930, to the late Will and Lener Jackson. She was a member of the Hill Chapel Baptist Church. She was retired from Brown Shoe Company in Booneville after 33 years of service. She was an accomplished ceramic painter and had her own ceramic shop for a hobby.

Services will be today at 1 p.m. at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Lloyd Stevens officiating. Burial will be in the Marietta Methodist Church Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Morris Dobbs of Mantachie; two brothers, Manley Jackson of St. Louis, Mo., and James Jackson of Marietta; three sisters, Loraine Maxwell of Florence, Ala., Maggie Wheatley of Baldwyn and Helen Sissom of Booneville; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Ackerson, Ruby Northern and Merle Tennyson; and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Michael Dobbs, Dale Turner, Patrick Hunkapillar, Wayne Wheatley, Eric Dobbs and Tim Cooper.

Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.ife of Morris Dobbs
