Dale was born as Billie Dale Turner to Billie Dee Turner and Alice Novell Roberts Turner. His stepfather was Melvin Ainsworth Memorial#52515868. Everyone called him Dale.
TURNER, DALE, Mr. Dale Turner, age 59, of Plano, Texas passed away July 11, 2006, in Plano. He was born May 22, 1947, in Dallas, Texas to Melvin Ainsworth and Alice Ainsworth. On June 18, 1995, he married Lonna Egan in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his wife, Lonna Turner of Plano; stepchildren, Erin Larsen and husband, Scott of San Antonio, Texas and Matt Egan of Naperville, Illinois; grandchildren, Megan, Matthew, Melissa, Madison and Michael; brother, Randy Turner of Allen, Texas; and niece, Tammye Turner Chappell. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Eric Vancleave; and brother, Tony Turner. Dale was an Army Veteran and spent a few years after his time in the service as a Peace Officer in New Jersey where he also enjoyed Golden Gloves Boxing. Dale spent over 30 years in the Alcohol Beverage Industry, most recently as Texas District Manager for Pernod Ricard. At one time Dale started his own sports marketing and photography company, where he held press credentials for the Dallas Cowboys. Dale loved hunting and the outdoors. He was a Certified Hunting Education Instructor, a member of Safari Club International, the Dallas Safari Club, and Sportsman of the year 2006 for Dallas Ducks Unlimited. His journeys took him from Alaska to Africa and many stops in between. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, July 14, 2006, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Mr. Scott Larsen officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation after the service.
