First elected selectman of Savoy.

Originally from Norton. Inhabitant of the Bullock Grant of 1777. Occupied Savoy in 1787 after being discharged from the army.

He married Elizabeth Blanchard in Sharon in 1782 and had 3 children before coming to Savoy and 4 afterwards.

Some records spell it "Snellum"
