Suggested edit: Stanley F "Tom" Placek, 47, of 2903 New Haven Ave, died in Parkview Memorial Hospital at 5:55 pm yesterday. He had been a patient at the hospital for the past two weeks. He was native of Garrett, but had lived here most of his life. He was an auto repairman for Jim Kelley Buick and was an Army veteran of World War II. He belonged to St Andrew's Catholic Church and Elmer Pond Post of Disabled American Veterans and was a member of Eagles Lodge 248. Surviving are his wife, Esther; one son, Michael; four stepdaughters, Mrs Jean Doehrman, Mrs Sandra Webb, Mrs June Gray and Miss Diana Wietfeldt; and two stepsons, Ricky and James Wietfelt, all of Fort Wayne; four sisters, Mrs Ann Martin of Fort Wayne, Mrs Ellen Congianna of San Bernadino, Calif, Mrs Sylvia Corwin of Upper St Clair, Pa, and Mrs Neil McCullough of Dover, Mass; one brother, Joseph of Fort Wayne; and 14 grandchildren.
