Virginia P. Weaver, 86, of Banning, Perry Township, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2006. Born March 16, 1920, in Rostraver Township, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Emma Sethman Lynn.

She was a member of the Banning United Methodist Church, in which she was very active, holding an office, singing in the choir and cleaning the church. A member of the Rostraver Chapter of AARP, Ginny enjoyed participating in the meetings and outings.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarenton L. "Bud" Weaver, in 2000; two brothers, James and Caleb Lynn; and three sisters, Ethel Hagerman, Bertha Thompson and Violet Foor.

She is survived by two sons, Clarence "Sandy" and wife, Darlene Weaver, of Rostraver Township, and Robert and wife, Betty Jean Weaver, of Morrow, Ga.; two grandchildren, Cyndi Gargan and husband, John, Ronald and wife, Marla Weaver; three great-grandchildren, Zachary and Matthew Gargan, and Mallory Weaver; four sisters, Verabelle Opatkiewicz and husband, Chester, Roberta "Birdie" Greenawalt and husband, Cecil, Erma Echart, and Shirley Snyder and husband, Edward; a brother, Eugene "Sonny" and wife, Isabelle Lynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Although we are deeply saddened by our loss, we are so blessed to have had such a wonderful woman touch our hearts.
