PAUL E. HOLT, 76, of Memphis, retired Army colonel, died of cancer Thursday at Methodist Hospital North. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Park Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Park. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran and received the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Commendation Medal, 2nd Oak Leaf Cluster and the Republic of China Order of Cloud and Banner. He was past president of The Retired Officers Association. Mr. Holt, the husband of Katherine McCaulla Holt, also leaves three sisters, Catherine Shelton, Claudia Friddle and Aurelia Boone, and a brother, William A. Holt, all of Memphis. The family requests that any memorials be sent to ROTC Scholarship Fund of The Retired Officers Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
