Gustave A. "Gus" Roller, who celebrated his 101st birthday on Sept. 14, died Wednesday afternoon in Gwynedd Square Center, Upper Gwynedd.
Mr Roller was formerly of Philadelphia and lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Ellen G. and Edward J. Cassidy of Forge Gate Apartments, Towamencin, from 1969 until entering Gwynedd Square on Nov. 2. He also lived with them in Philadelphia before moving to this area.
Mr. Roller was a gasoline pump repairman and was retired from the Gulf Refining Co.
He then served as an usher at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia.
He was born in Trenton, N.J., the son of the late Albert and Pauline Roller.
Mr. Roller attended Gwynedd Square Presbyterian Church, Upper Gwynedd.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frederica A. Hull Roller.
Surviving with his daughter Ellen Cassidy are two daughters, Connie, wife of William Campbell of Tampa, Fla., and Catherine, wife of James Daly of Philadelphia; two sons, Harold of Philadelphia and Robert of Bryn Mawr; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harold of Springfield, Delaware County.
