Claude married Mary Elizabeth "Bessie" Robinson. Five known children were born to their union:

1) Neil A. Cole (July 18, 1905 - 1991);
2) Clarence James Cole (October 22, 1906 - October 19, 1985);
3) Rose Maurine Cole (October 26, 1909 - March 6, 2010), who married John L. Gornick;
4) Geraldine Cole (June 18, 1911 - 1987), who married Russell Glaspie;
5) John Cole (September 30, 1919 - December 8, 2008).

Claude A. Cole Passes at 82 in Hospital

Claude a. Cole, 82, prominent citizen of Juniata Township for many years, died at Caro Community Hospital Monday night after only a two-day illness. He became ill Saturday with heart trouble.

Funeral services are to be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) at the Huston Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin C. Rice, pastor of the Watrousville Methodist Church officiating, and burial will be made in Caro Cemetery.

Mr. Cole was born July 13, 1877 in Columbia Township, but since he was 14 years old has lived on a farm a mile north of Watrousville. After graduating from the Watrousville and Caro schools, he later graduated from Bay City Business College with a degree in business administration, and for 20 years was in the office of Eaton Mfg. Company in Vassar. Since that time he has been engaged in farming.

He served as Juniata Township clerk and as secretary and director of the Watrousville school district, and has been a member of the Juniata Farmers Club and the Methodist church.

In September 1904 Mr. Cole was married to the former Bessie Robinson who survives, as do five children: Neil of Bay City; Clarence and John of Watrousville; Mrs. John (Maurine) Gorick of Grosse Point Woods and Mrs. Russell (Geraldine) Glaspie of Detroit.
