Dorothy C. Magill, 88, of Blair, formerly of Herman, died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Tekamah Nursing Center.

Dorothy Vinderslev was born Nov. 15, 1915, in Kennard. She attended school in Blair. She married Harold Magill on Sept. 2, 1925, in Iowa. They farmed in the Blair and Herman area until 1960 at which time they moved to Fremont where she worked for JC Penney department store and Sampter's clothing store as a seamstress. In 1977, they moved to Herman and resided there until moving to Hooper in 1993. They moved to Blair in May 2002.

She served as president of Herman Community Church circle 3 and was a member of the Bench Club.

Survivors include: a son, Richard (and wife, Sandra) Magill of Hooper; two daughters, Janice (Mrs. Dick) Barnard of Tekamah and Shirley Allely of Elkhorn; two sisters, Vivian Kramer of Virginia and Darlene Dodge of Omaha; a brother, Chris Vinderslev of Friend; 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and six sisters.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Herman Community Church. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday with a prayer service at 7 p.m., all at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
