JEWELL ERMA N. TODD DAGLEY

Jewell Erma N. Todd Dagley, age 90, of Connell, Washington, went to be with her Heavenly Father January 7, 2004, at Kadlec Medical Center.

Jewell was born September 11, 1913, to Jesse and Maude Nott on a farm in Morris County, Kansas, near the town of Council Grove.

She was a member of the Elm Creek 4H Club for eight years and entered exhibits at fairs in baking.

She was a member of the Morris County and Kansas State Who's Who 4H Club. She graduated from Council Grove High School in 1932.

She married Frank L. Todd in 1932, in Council Grove, Kansas.

In 1937, they moved to Washington state. To this union was born a son who died in infancy, a daughter, June and a son, Scott. They moved to Kennewick, Washington, in 1943 where she lived for 21 years.

Frank Todd passed away in 1953. Jewell worked for General Electric in the Hanford area as a laboratory technician.

She moved to Connell in 1961. She continued to exhibit at fairs in canning, flowers and vegetables, and received many ribbons.

She later exhibited her quilts and crochet work.

She was a member of the Kennewick Church of the Nazarene from 1943-1961, and of the Connell Church of the Nazarene from 1961 to present.

For both churches, she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
She grew and arranged flowers for the Connell church for 20 years.

She married Jay C. Dagley in 1984. He is now deceased.

Jewell enjoyed traveling to Germany, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, England, Italy, Turkey and Costa Rica while her daughter lived overseas for 27 years.

Jewell was a volunteer driver for the DSHS in Franklin County for 15 years and also worked for the Senior Companion Program.

She was a Charter Member of the Connell Keenagers.

She is survived by daughter, June and husband, Milt Alexander of Bellevue; son, Scott and wife, Susan Todd of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho; five grandchildren, Jayna and Bryan Alexander, Lisa Kaufman and Michael and Justin Todd; six great-grandchildren, Emily and Grayson Alexander, Ryan Kaufman, and Kaelan, Makayla and Catelin Todd.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 12, 2004, at the Church of the Nazarene in Connell.

A private graveside service will be held at Riverview Heights Cemetery, Kennewick.
Visitation will be held Sunday the 11th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Mueller's Chapel of the Falls, 314 W. 1st Ave., Kennewick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connell Church of the Nazarene, Connell, WA 99326, for the Nazarene World Missions.
