Obituary of Albertina Nelson
Mrs. Albertina Nelson was born in Kearney County July 21, 1890, the daughter of Lars and Mary Christensen. She was confirmed in the Christian faith in the Fredericksburg Lutheran Church as a child and later joined the United Presbyterian Church, Minden.
She was united in marriage to Albert Nelson on Jan 3, 1912 and they engaged in farming south of Minden until Albert passed away in November 1937, after which she took up residence in Minden.
Mrs. Nelson passed away, after an extended illness, at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Kearney Nebr., on March 30, 1968.
Surviving her are a daughter Mrs. LaVerne Rodine, Denver, Colo., a son, Woodrow Nelson, Hastings, four grandchildren, one great grandchild one sister, Mrs. Emma Nelson and one brother, Chris L. Christensen, both of Minden, other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, April 1, at the W. U. Presbyterian Church with Rev. John R. Wineman officiating. The Layton Funeral Home was in charge. Interment was in the Minden Cemetery.
