Born June 9, 1927, in Janesville, Wis., he was the son of George and Mary Rashid.
Mr. Rashid grew up in Keokuk and later moved to his longtime home in Burlington. He was best known for his renowned "George's Pizza" in Burlington. He always will be remembered as "uncle" by all who knew him.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers; Floyd (Buss) Rashid, Patrick Rashid, and Albert (Bob) Rashid and four sisters; Lucille Rashid, Stella Rashid, Neva Slyman, and Virginia Rainey.
Graveside service will be at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fort Madison
