Efferson, Carmen Drumwright Carmen D. Efferson, 90, a native of Holden and a resident of Baton Rouge, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006. She was a retired LSU dormitory supervisor. She was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, Istrouma Chapter 162, and Istrouma Baptist Church. Visitation was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Monday, Jan. 30, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Jo Efferson; daughter-in-law, Alice W. Efferson; sisters, Vivia Efferson and Pearl Orton; grandchildren, Jennifer Walker, Tracey Mathis and husband Josh Mathis, Laura Carcamo, Carey Drumwright Efferson and wife Allysen Efferson, and Julie Efferson; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cline Elmo Efferson Sr.; son, Cline Elmo Efferson Jr.; parents, Mansfield Drumwright and Julia Sharp Drumwright; sisters, Lucille Comish, Eva Peak, Yvonne Carley, Martha Sharp Efferson and Nellie Smith; and brothers, Walter Gee Drumwright and Elton Drumwright.
