Franklin Delano Wetherington, Sr., 87, of Quitman, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA.

Graveside Services will be held at Parkhill Cemetery in Columbus, GA, on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 1:00 pm.

Mr. Wetherington was born in Cook County, GA to the late Collon Lenard Wetherington & Amy McMillan Wetherington on August 7, 1932.

He married Miriam Cooper Wetherington, who preceded him in death. Mr. Wetherington was a member of the United States Army and worked as a Carpenter for most of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Survivors include: daughters, Tonja Taylor (Mickey) of Boston, GA, Tracy Gibson (George) of Blakely, GA, grandchildren, Austin Taylor, Will Taylor, Susie Gilbert, Avery Gibson, Heather Croley, Crystal Wetherington, Ashley Pennington, Kenzi Wetherington, Gage Wetherington, a number of great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews, and a sister, Frances Hortman of Moultrie, GA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Chuck Wetherington, and two brothers, Lawrence Wetherington and Avon Wetherington.
