Marlene was born in Chariton, Iowa on January 20, 1934 to Harold (Hadley) and Corinne Metz. Marlene was united in marriage in August 1951 to Guy J. White. They had three children: Guy Herold White (deceased after birth), Kevin Elihu and Curtis Bruce White.
Marlene worked at the family business of White Electric with Guy for numerous years and also owned a yarn and bridal shop called The Village in Chariton. She had a love for her family and all kinds of animals. Marlene enjoyed teaching dance, bowling, playing cards and spending time with her entire family and her beloved grandchildren.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents, Harold (Hadley) and Corinne Metz, her beloved husband, Guy J. White, her son Guy Herold White, and two sisters, Karen Kauffman and Gen Reeve.
She is survived by her two sons, Kevin Elihu White, Oelwein, Iowa and Curtis Bruce White, Chariton, Iowa, along with her 4 grandchildren Tisha (White) Smith, Norwalk, Iowa, Lindsey (White) Offenburger, Indianola, Iowa, Dilan White and Chrissy White, along with 3 great-grandchildren, Madison and McKenzie Smith and Leah Offenburger as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by three sisters, Elaine Gartin, Chariton, Jackie Kelley, Texas and Deborah Stitts, Texas.
