Mary Frances (Coppess) Spencer Durr

Mary Frances Spencer-Durr, 88, of Greenville, passed away Friday afternoon, September 16, 2011 at her residence.

She was born December 16, 1922 in Darke County, daughter of the late Frank M. and Opal (Huddle) Coppess.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Spencer; second husband, John L. Durr; two sons, Philip and David Spencer; and sisters, Virginia Hair and Ruth Evelyn Norris.

A homemaker, she was a former member of the Teegarden Christian Church and the DAV Auxiliary in Greenville.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda O'Grady of Ninevah, IN; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; a sister, Edna Brinley of Missouri; and step daughters, Linda Sheline of Vandalia and Dianna Durr of Dayton

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, September 20, at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with Rev. Thomas Knight officiating.

Burial will follow in the Teegarden Cemetery near Ansonia.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 12 p.m. till time of services at 2. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to State of the Heart Hospice.
