David J. Partazana, 65, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Monday, April 12, 2004, in his home. Born June 20, 1938, in Library, he was the son of Lucy "Moreschi" Partazana-Vaira of Monongahela and the late Domenick D. Partazana. He was self employed for over 44 years, owning such businesses as a service station, an auto parts store, along with many rental properties. After graduating from high school, he received his bachelor's degree from California University and his doctorate from Roosevelt University in Chicago. He was a former Pennsylvania State Constable and a member of the Washington County Democratic Committee, along with being active in the Monongahela Youth Soccer program. Mr. Partazana was a member of the Monongahela Area Historical Society and had a great interest and love for the Monongahela political arena. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his fiancee, Barbara A. Hixenbaugh of Monongahela, and her daughter and granddaughter, Nicole L. and Samantha M. Dainty; one son, David J. Partazana and wife Laurie of Amity; one daughter, Marcy and husband David of Virginia; one granddaughter, Heather Bryant; two cousins, Martha Petrus of Monongahela and Judge Debbie O'Dell-Seneca of Washington; and many loving friends and constituents. Preceding him in death was his uncle, Mayor John Moreschi, on June 20, 1998. Friends will be received in the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 15, in Transfiguration Catholic Church, Monongahela, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. John Baver as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: Monongahela Area Historical Society, 905 West Main St., Monongahela, Pa. 15063.
