Lottie Sue Dodd
Lottie Sue Dodd, 78, of Laurel, passed away February 17, 2016, at Forrest General Hospital after a long extended battle with diabetes.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19th, at Trinity Baptist Church in Shady Grove. The body will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Rev. Bill Blair, Rev. Randy Clark, and Rev. Brad Brownlee will officiate.
She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was a lifetime homemaker who was devoted to her husband and children. She enjoyed working in her church and loved her church family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Acie Dodd and infant son, Joseph Ray Dodd; parents, J. H. and Susie Thomas of Slocomb, Alabama; two brothers and three sisters, also of Alabama.
She is survived by sons, Scott Dodd (Tammi) of Ellisville and Darron Dodd (Lindsay) of Laurel; grandchildren, Hunter Dodd, Ashton Dodd, Clark Dodd, and Blair Dodd. She is also survived by her twin siblings, Jesse (Bobbie) Thomas of Slocomb, Alabama, and Bessie Lassiter of Dothan, Alabama, and a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, and nieces.
