The following is from a Trondheim news article, roughly translated:

Anne Østhus - Today, November 9 [1928] is Anne Østhus 85 years. She is wife of Anders Olsen Østhus, who was worker in the I.C. Neergaard brewery in Grava [near Prinsen Gate until it closed. He later owned and operated a dairy show selling butter and cheese.] Anne was born at Stene i Lesja i Gudbrandsdalen, a farm owned by her brother's son, Knut Stene. He was an apprentice. Anne belongs to a Norwegian farming family who are now spread throughout Norway and the United States. She is the only one alive of six (6)[actually 9] children, most of them teachers and farmers. Her brother Syver was one of first emmigrants [to sail] from Norway to the United States. After many years in United States, he returned home wealthy to Lesja and helped other brothers and sisters. He died on his father's farm in Stene i Lesja. Anne shares memories of her brother. Anne lives in the hospitalsstiftelsen - a home for elderly - located in a very old building in Trondheim. Because of her old age remembers often. She reads newspapers and stays busy knitting. Anne has led busy life. She has done more for others than herself and has always managed with little money. Has always had time to comfort those in her home and those around her. She is an example of true womanhood to follow, and we wish her well in her later years.
