Missouri Tennessee (Coldwell) Daugherty passed away at 8:00 p.m. January 21st at her home 416 E. Main in Carterville after a lingering illness. She was born January 4, 1851 in
Dade County Missouri. She married B.A. Daugherty in Dade County June 9, 1872 where they lived until the winter 1875 when they moved to Jasper County. Seven children were born to them all living except William F. Daugherty. Those who survive are Mrs. Bell Lillibridge, Mrs. Louettie Snaden, Mrs. Alice Hall, Benjamin A. Daugherty, James P. M. Daugherty and Jesse C. Daugherty. She leaves eleven grandchildren. Mrs. Daugherty was a member of St. John's Methodist church of Carterville and was a good Christian woman. She was energetic far beyond her strength and never kept her bed until she was unable to rise from it. She was charitable and kind to all and her standard was highest. The funeral service will be held at the home by L.L. Pinnell Friday January 23, 1920 at 10:30 a.m and burial in the Webb City cemetery.
