Beverly Caroline Alcock, 85, died Thursday, May 11, 2006, in Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born March 13, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Russell Lowell and Bessie Mays Alcock. She was a member of Jordan Baptist Church, Lynchburg.

She is survived by three sisters, Elizabeth Parsons and husband, Lewis of Newport News, Mildred Jester of Mechanicsville, and Anne Richardson and husband, Conrad of Lynchburg; and three brothers, Edwin Alcock and wife, Alice of Wichita Falls, Texas, Alfred Alcock and wife, Betty of Lynchburg, and Robert Alcock and wife, Liz of Amherst.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, 2006, at Jordan Baptist Church, with Dr. Melvin H. Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Amherst Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, May 14, 2006, at Driskill Funeral Chapel in Amherst, 946-5529.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jordan Baptist Church, 1738 Arkansas Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24501.
