Leila Mae Towne of Eugene died March 18 of age-related causes. She was 91.
Leila was born July 14, 1912, in Peoria, to John and Edna Troyer Yoder. She married Eugene Towne in Eugene on July 7, 1938. Towne graduated from Eugene High School and lived in Bend from 1956 to 1992. She moved back to Eugene in 1992. A beautician, she worked in both Eugene and Bend. Towne enjoyed playing cards with friends and putting puzzles together.
She is survived by her nephew, LeRoy McCay of Eugene. Her husband, a brother and a sister died previously.
Burial in Pilot Butte Cemetery in Bend. Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home of Bend is in charge of arrangements.
