Mrs Nora Frederick, 64, wife of Joseph Frederick, of southwest of Wakarusa, died suddenly Thursday afternoon of last week. Death was caused by a heart attack. Mrs Frederick had had several slight attacks recently.

She became ill Thursday afternoon while sitting in the Frederick car at Wyatt. Although the attack was not particularly alarming, they came home immediately, and when she did not grow better called the family doctor. They placed her in a rocking chair on the front porch, where she died about 20 minutes later.

The daughter of Rufus and Mary Andrews, she was born in this vicinity on Jan 15, 1870. Her marriage to Mr Frederick took place on Nov 24, 1888.

Surviving are her husband, four daughters, Mrs Homer Lehman and Mrs Otto Gordon, both of near Wakarusa, Mrs Forrest Postma of Nappanee, and Miss Nettie Frederick at home.

A son, Franklin, died in 1900 and a daughter, Agnes, in 1892.

There are nine grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, William of Osceola, Clarence of Auburn, Ind, Joseph of California, and Oscar, who lives at the Frederick home. Mr and Mrs Frederick had lived in their present home for 30 years.

The funeral was held at 2 pm Sunday at the Madison Chapel church, four miles west of Wakarusa. The Rev H E Miller of Elkhart and the Rev Charles Wright officiated. Burial in the Fairyville cemetery, three miles south of Mishawaka.
