Claude Grigsby, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at his home in Del Rio.
He was preceded in death by his parents Waitsel and Latha (Clark) Grigsby, sisters Mae Self and Dorothy Willis, and brothers Charlie and Denton Grigsby.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years Beulah Willis Grigsby; daughters Reva (Gary) Freeman and Carolyn (Billy) Reece of Parrottsville; Kathleen (Jack) Davis and Linda (Roger) Roberts of Newport; and Doris (Freddy) Reece, Sharon (Dennis) Moore, and Loretta (David) Brooks, all of Del Rio; sons Dewey (Brenda) Grigsby, Eugene (Peggy) Grigsby, and David (Tracy) Grigsby, all of Del Rio; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brothers John Lewis Grigsby of Del Rio and Dewey Waitsel Grigsby of Jacksonville, FL; sisters Lucille Stokely and Maudie Kate Stokely; and a special sister-in-law Marie Grigsby of Del Rio.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2011, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Brother Todd St. John officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the services.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011, at the Clark Cemetery at Deep Gap.
