Carolyn Gehlhausen Wooton of East Bernstadt, KY, sent (Dec 2012) this quote from a 1985 letter from Richard C. Wooton of Wooten and Related Families Association:
". . . Lewis and Martha Wooton . . are my own 2-great grandparents. . . . I have visited the Deer Creek Cemetery several times and made a lot of photos of the graves of Lewis and Martha. It is on the Old Kokomo Road, just east of State Highway 9, directly opposite the Marion airport. Coming from Marion, and turning left on Old Kokomo road, you will see a light green house on the right. Park just past that house, and follow the path across a field to the woods overlooking Deer Creek. The cemetery is in TWO sections; the section furthest to the east contains the gravestone of Lewis Wooton."
