Lois Egner Bomar, of Central, SC, widow of Basil E. Bomar, died March 8, 2012, in Anderson, SC. She was 81.

Born in Bergen County, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Mildred King Edner.

Mrs. Bomar was a graduate of Furman University and earned her Masters Degree from Clemson University.

She was a special education teacher for over 30 years having taught in Mt. Pleasant, SC and Central, SC.

Mrs. Bomar was a very active member of Zion United Methodist Church where she was in the choir and served in many leadership positions.

Surviving are sons, Allan Bomar with whom she made her home and Kenneth Bomar of Greenville, SC; daughter, Linda (Gary) Arney of Loudon, TN; one grandson, Jason (Latisha) Bomar; and great-granddaughter Hannah Bomar; step-grandson Travis Arney; and step-great-grandson Colby Arney.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert Egner Jr.

Funeral services will be 11 AM, March 12, 2012, at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. Kurt McPherson officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM, March 13, 2012, in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.
