Joseph Basil Peterson, 83, of Idaho Falls, died June 6, 2002, at Life Care Center. He was born December 4, 1918 at Thomas, ID, to Joseph William Peterson and Sarah Elizabeth Palmer, grew up in the area, and married Myra Olney on June 21, 1945 in Butte, MT. He worked as a truck driver for Cowboy Oil, Bairs, and Challenge Creamery and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He was preceded in death by his son Larry Keith; and sisters Phelma, Margaret, Genevive, Martha, Bertha, and Gladys. Graveside services held Monday, June 10, 2002, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
