Fannie Dorian, 76, of Benton, passed away peacefully Monday, March 5, 2012, at Saline Memorial Hospice House in Bryant. She was born March 19, 1935, to the late Warren B. and Marie Redden in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mrs. Dorian was a retired 26 year employee of Saline Memorial Hospital in the X-Ray Department. She was a graduate at Bauxite known as "Shaw University." Mrs. Dorian was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Benton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Thomas Earl Dorian; brothers, Jimmy Redden of Tennessee and Warren "Buck" Redden; sisters, Willie Mae Bauer, Ruth "Curly" Blacklock, Mary Lucille Burke and Ann Pate and a son-in-law, Marcus Lee White.
Survived by two daughters, Edna "Peewee" Dorian-White and Judy Dorian Elrod and husband Rick; grandson, Marcus Allen Griffin; sister, Sue Samples; brother-in-law, "Lamar" Roy Blacklock and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Mary Ann Harrington, Dr. Mark Martindale, Dr. Michael Schmidt and wife Cheryl and the Saline Memorial GI Lab.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at Ashby Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 8 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Old Rosemont Cemetery. (from Ashby Funeral Home online obituary)
