Mr. Holland was born September 19, 1898 in Bartow County. He was a member of Collard Valley Baptist Church and he was a retired farmer and also retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was preceded in death by his wife, Molly Holland; son J.S. Holland, Jr.; great grandson, Craig Camp.
Surviving are: daughters, Mrs. Blanche Lott of Cedartown; son, Mr. Charles Holland of Cedartown; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren also survived.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 17, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Benefield and Rev. Dewey Penson officiating.
Interment followed in the Northview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Wayne Lott, Mike Holland, Allen Moore, Joey Sorrells, Scotty McElwee, Bobby McElwee, Bob Hooper, Gene Sorrells, and Sammy Camp.
Gammage Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
