Inez Moeschler, age 89, died February 27, 2012 at GracePointe Commons. Funeral services will be held at 1:oo PM on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Crystal Lake Chapel in Minneapolis. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:oo PM on Wednesday, February 29th at Strike Funeral Home – Cambridge Chapel with a prayer service at 5:00 PM and a family testimonial at 7:00 PM. and also 1 hour prior to the service at Crystal Lake Chapel. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery. Memorials to St. Joseph's Home for Children in Minneapolis.


Inez A. Moeschler was born August 21, 1922 to Walter and Iva (Wilkes) Schon in Virginia, Minnesota. She grew up in North Minneapolis and graduated from North High School. Inky lived most of her years in North Minneapolis. She was very active in the Lions/Lioness Club and VFW Auxiliary in North Minneapolis. Inky also belonged to the Camden Lions, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Grandy and then Cambridge Lions. She was awarded the Helen Keller Award and Melvin Jones Award, being only the second woman to receive this award. She took eight Lions mission trips to South and Central America with the VOSH program. Inky, in her younger years, enjoyed camping, fishing, going to the Boundary Waters, cross country skiing and she began the North Star Ski Touring Club in Minneapolis.

Inez "Inky" Moeschler died February 27, 2012 at GracePointe Commons at the age of 89 years, 6 months and 6 days. She has now begun her journey to once again be with her beloved husband, Clyde, family and friends that have gone before her.

Inez is survived by her son, Jay Oine and wife Maureen O'Neill of Stanchfield, two grandsons, Jesse O'Neill-Oine and wife Melissa Walker and their children, Jane and Liam and Jayson O'Neill and by other relatives and friends.
