SALTVILLE, Va. Margaret Audrey Taylor Montgomery, age 90, died Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie, Va. She was a life long resident of Saltville and a member of the First Christian Church. Audrey was born in Allison Gap Sept. 18, 1921, a daughter of the late John Arthur Taylor and Jennie Allison Taylor. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Arthur Joe Taylor and Roy "Flip" Taylor; sisters, Bertha McCready, Alice Arnold and Venis Moore; grandson-in-law, Ray Rolen; brothers-in-law, Bobby Montgomery and Billy Montgomery. Audrey is survived by her husband, Ralph Montgomery; two sons, Robert "Bob" Burgess and wife, Jocelyn, of Mount Airy, Md. and Jim Montgomery and wife, Vicki, of Saltville; one daughter, Carolyn Lewis and husband, Frank "T-Bone", of Saltville; seven grandchildren, Laura Lewis Rolen, Rebecca Arnold, Kyle Taylor Burgess, Kendall Burgess, Connie B. Baisey, Jackie B. Spear, and Bobby Burgess; the joy of her life was her great-grandchildren, Jordan Lewis Rolen, David Arnold Jr.,Sophia Grace Arnold;five Grandchildren of Laytonsville, Md.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday March 8, 2012, at Henderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Williams and the Rev. Chuck Harris officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Elizabeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening prior to the service. Pallbearers will be the men of the First Christian Church. Honorary pallbearers will be her nephews, and David Henderson, Joe P. Johnson and Ray Osborne.
